The BodyTalk Center of Oklahoma and 3rd Street Yoga, both in Edmond, are teaming up to bring Resistance Flexibility and Strength Training (RFST) to the area for several four-hour workshops July 27 through 29 at the yoga studio. RFST Certified Elite Trainers Jay Lyons, of Body in Concert, and Patrick Gregston, from the RFST flagship location in Santa Barbara, California, will be on hand. Lyons will conduct the workshops and Gregston will offer private stretching sessions.
“This is a great opportunity for people to be introduced to this style of training,” explains Rachel Mor, of 3rd Street Yoga. “Not only does it make one more flexible, it enhances any yoga practice you already do. It’s also a great way for us to bring this training to massage therapists and yoga instructors to aid their clients and students.”
Founder of Sacred Space Healing Modality Kathryn Springman, of BodyTalk Center of Oklahoma, adds: “As a naturopath and energy medicine practitioner, I’m always looking for what can support the body physically while we are working on the underlying energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual issues that affect health. By far, Bob Cooley’s Resistance Flexibility and Strength Training is the best I’ve seen at achieving long-lasting results from multitudes of issues. In fact, this work is so important that we are adding RFST to our energy medicine practice and encouraging our clients to implement it into their healing journey. It is through living in a physical body that allows us to pursue and attain spiritual growth. I find that RFST truly helps one find a new way of being. By grounding ourselves in our bodies, we can achieve our goals in energy, mind, will, emotions and spirit.”
